The choice is clear. We need new leadership at the top!
The 2012 Presidential campaign is winding to a close. The faces of the candidates are well known. Most folks have already made a decision.  Others, I suspect, have a good idea of who will get their vote on election day.

Unlike many past elections where political party affiliation was a central issue, this one is different.  This election is a defining moment, a fork in the road, a decision point for the country.  This election will determine the tone and direction for a long time.  It will also determine the fiscal position of the nation for the current and upcoming generations.

American voters crowded into polling places in 2008 and decided that it was time for "hope and change." A new President and a new philosophy took root.

President elect Obama conjured up a happy vision of a nation united, a nation committed to a better life for all, a nation free of the influences of terror abroad, and a nation where prosperity reigned.

The vision was attractive, alluring and appealing to those Americans stuck in a stagnant economy and feeling the terrible effects of September 11, 2001.

America clearly wanted a hands-across-the-political-spectrum, hands-across-the-water, moment.

Great campaign points. Easy to talk about. Hard to achieve...no, impossible too achieve!
The bottom line is easy to see.  The 2008 winning ticket of Obama/Biden has wreaked havoc on the nation.

The number of unemployed, under employed, or have given up trying to find a job folks has skyrocketed.

The wealth of the the average American has shrunk dramatically as home values and 401K plans have sunk like a boulder in a pond.

The price of gasoline, food, and daily necessities have risen above the ability of a lot of family's ability to purchase.

Crime is rising and the values gap between the diverse people of the nation has grown wider and wider.

Even health care, Medicare, and Social Security face uncertain, nerve wracking futures.

The national debt has raced to levels that only an accountant can understand.

America's ability to assist the world in creating a safer climate for all people is shrinking at an alarming rate. The nation's influence in the world has become a political cartoon of its once proud stance. America's flag is burning in the streets of the Middle East...and we apologize for causing it.

These are just a few of the "negative improvements" made under President Obama.

Four more years of the divisive, soft, arrogant, and antagonistic approach to hope and change will kill this country.

It is time for voters to vote for a return to sanity, a path to jobs, strength and leadership.  It is time for a new president for a more productive America. It is time for a clear talking vice president. It is a time for leadership instead of endless "studies".  It is a time for pride in American values to surge to the forefront.  It is time to vote for Romney/Ryan.

About the editor.
Growing up in the 1950's and '60's gave over 60 million Americans a unique perspective...on life, family, expectations, achievement, overcoming, work ethic, respect, politics and just getting along. The viewpoint published in this blog is my personal viewpoint.

I will take a hard look at the way things are today compared to the way things were "back in the day." My opinion may upset some folks along the way, but I promise to tell it like I see it and let the chips fall where they may.

After all, I've been around for over six decades and it is time to share my viewpoint.
